Maksutov-Cassegrain Levenhuk Skyline PLUS 105 MAK Telescope is a small telescope for beginner users who are looking for a universal optical instrument for astronomy and terrestrial observations. This telescope works effectively for studying the Moon, planets of the solar system as well as popular deep-sky objects. It allows for observing the rings of Saturn, storms on Jupiter, season changes on Mars, and atmospheric phenomena on Venus. In addition, double stars, diffuse and planetary nebulae, galaxies and many other objects in the Messier and NGC catalogue are well-discerned.
The optics in the telescope are assembled using a catadioptric scheme. That means its optical capabilities are packed in a compact body. The telescope is easily placed on a balcony; it is practical to take it to the countryside or bring it outside for conducting astronomy observations. The optics, made of fully multi-coated optics, deliver a sharp and detailed image.
It requires some experience to operate the telescope, yet an equatorial mount features more capabilities than an alt-azimuthal mount. It allows for tracking objects in the sky with two slow-motion control knobs precisely and smoothly. Lengthy observations do not require effort that allows for studying more astronomical objects and events.
The telescope is mounted on a stable aluminum tripod. Tripod legs feature adjustable height. An accessory tray comes in useful for placing included and additional accessories. There are two eyepieces with a different focal length, which provide average magnification, and a diagonal mirror that is used for landscape observations.
